Newsome Academy is a successful secondary school and a proud member of the Impact Education Multi Academy Trust. Nestled in the beautiful countryside of south Huddersfield, we are home to over 800 students, supported by over 100 dedicated and passionate teaching and support staff.

What truly makes us stand out is our strong commitment to inclusion. We are proud to offer two specialist provisions for Hearing Impaired and Physically Impaired students. These provisions enable students to fully access mainstream lessons while benefiting from the tailored specialist support needed to thrive.

Our Senior Leadership Team is highly visible and actively involved in daily school life —whether on duty during social times or visiting lessons to maintain a positive, purposeful school climate. Leadership is something we value deeply at Newsome Academy and this is reflected in the confidence, ambition and achievements of both our students and staff.

Being part of the Impact Education Multi Academy Trust brings exciting opportunities and the school has undergone significant and positive transformation in recent years. We are proud to have celebrated record-breaking results year on year and in 2022 became the only school in Kirklees to support a student in securing a prestigious scholarship to Eton College.
