Enrichment Curriculum
Our Enrichment Curriculum forms the first part of the school day and is designed to set students up for success. It creates a calm, purposeful start and helps students develop the skills, knowledge and mindset needed for a positive and productive day of learning.
The programme includes:
Line-ups – supporting a calm, orderly and purposeful start to each day.
Whole School Current Affairs Seminar (Mondays) – keeping students informed, curious and engaged with the world around them.
Literacy Seminars – built around current affairs and exploring topics such as politics, climate, society and culture. These sessions help students develop informed opinions, strengthen reading skills and broaden vocabulary, while promoting oracy through structured discussion and debate.
RSHE Programme – delivered by specialist staff through seminars and reinforced further during team discussions.
‘Team Time’ Careers Programme – available to all year groups and supported by visiting speakers and experts from further and higher education, apprenticeship providers and employers.
‘Team Time’ Standards – reinforcing our values and culture through high expectations, positive relationships and a clear system of rewards.
Together, our Enrichment Curriculum ensures students start each day focused, informed and ready to learn.

Morning Mastery
Morning Mastery is a structured part of the school day designed to build strong learning habits and support long-term success. It focuses on helping students develop confidence, independence and resilience in their learning.
During Morning Mastery, students work on carefully planned activities that:
strengthen core knowledge and skills
encourage retrieval practice to improve memory and understanding
develop focus, organisation and self-discipline
support exam readiness through regular practice and consolidation
Morning Mastery provides a calm, purposeful start to the day and ensures all students have the opportunity to revisit learning, close gaps and embed key knowledge over time.
