The Headteacher personally sends (email, text & X Post) a weekly update on what’s happening in school to support our families. All these are located in the Half-Term drop-down boxes below.
Families are responsible for informing us if their details have changed or if they notice they are not receiving our (very) regular communication home.

In addition to the weekly updates we use X to post daily updates on what’s happening around our wonderful Academy. The Headteacher also posts videos and images for those who want a greater insight into our school life. For those families that don’t want/have the X App, the posts are fed directly onto our newsfeed which is located at the very bottom of our homepage. Our official X account is: @NewsomeAcademy

The French trip is due to arrive at Newsome at 1:45am. Please do not park on the road to the entrance to the school drive as the coach needs access to then turn around and drop off all students safely. 👍
Year 10 have been working hard in DT to finish their key hook designs ready to take home for the holidays, final results will be shared next week. The Y8 boys have been working hard to fix up some of the broken bikes after their bike maintenance session last week.
